3 Face Masks For Gorgeous Skin This Summer

Face Masks

While summer months provides the perfect opportunity to get outdoors, the dry heat can cause parched, cracked and sensitive skin. The good news is, it doesn’t have to. With a little extra hydration and gentle exfoliation you can keep your skin bright and glowing all summer long.

Here are three masks you can easily make and enjoy at home, to give your skin the extra TLC it is craving.

3 Face Masks For Gorgeous Skin

Soothing Mint, Cucumber, and Aloe Face Mask

You will need:

½ Cucumber peeled and finely grated (I just used a small cheese grater)

A few large fresh mint leaves finely chopped

¼ cup Organic Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice

Mix all of the ingredients together and apply to dry, freshly cleansed skin. Leave it on for 30 minutes, then gently rinse. After rinsing, make sure you apply a toner to close your pores, and then apply a light moisturizer.

Extra Tip: Cut up a few extra mint leaves and the half of the cucumber you did not use for the mask, then add them to a pitcher of water to enjoy while you relax.

Moisturizing Honey, Avocado, and Oatmeal Face Mask

You will need:

2 tbsp. Raw Manuka Honey– warmed until liquid

¼ cup cooked oatmeal

½ an avocado mashed

Mix all of the ingredients together and apply to dry, freshly cleansed skin. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then gently rinse. After rinsing, make sure you apply a toner to close your pores, and then apply a light moisturizer.

Extra Tip: You want the mixture to be slightly warm not hot, so you may want to let the oats cool a little, but not completely, before mixing with everything else.

Gently Exfoliating Strawberry Yogurt and Rice Powder Face Mask

You will need:

3-4 ripe strawberries mashed

½ cup yogurt

1 tsp. rice powder

Mix all of the ingredients together and apply to dry, freshly cleansed skin. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then gently rinse. After rinsing, make sure you apply a toner to close your pores, and then apply a light moisturizer.

Extra Tip: This mask can also be made without the rice powder if you have sensitive or currently irritated skin. You will still get a little exfoliation from the citrus in the strawberries and hydration from the yogurt. The rice powder provides additional exfoliation for dry skin.
