If you’ve ever wanted to personalize your beauty products to meet your skin’s needs, here’s your chance.
American MDTM, a Florida-based beauty brand dedicated to green chemistry, has created their new Benefit BoostersTM, personalized skincare to improve the performance of your favorite beauty products. Want to buy a mineral foundation that’s lacking anti-aging properties? Just stir in the new anti-wrinkle booster, Wrinkle MD and you’re set to go.
Or if you’d prefer more intensity in your moisturizer, try the Moisture MD. There are six Boosters to choose from that target a variety of skin issues.
According to David Pollack, the company’s founder, the boosters are pre-measured, dermatological strength complexes that are delivered using something called SmartCore technology, a delivery system said to bind the actives with most products on the market. Or the boosters can be used on their own, if a more concentrated product is desired.
It sounds like a good idea, for the most part. But one thing is nagging us. Natural formulators (and not-so-natural ones) we know are frequently saying how important it is to understand how ingredients interact with each other before slapping a product on the market.
Why doesn’t that apply when we the average consumer is playing science lab with their beauty products? Maybe the company has tested every possible formula to be sure this is safe (or the “actives” are so mild, it doesn’t matter), but we’d like to revisit this down the road and see if anyone’s mixed up a concoction that blew up their apartment. Let’s hope not.
Will you be trying the new Benefit Boosters?

Amy, we noticed that, too. But these were just announced in a beauty trade magazine a few days ago, so quite possibly, they are still rolling them out into stores.
no, because the where to buy link does not exist!!!
