From the moment we arrived on the web , our top priority has been to help our readers, friends and family find good quality, healthy cosmetics (makeup, skincare, hair, bath & body). We’ve opted not to sell beauty products, but to champion brands we love.
One way of doing this is to offer our Recommended Seal to brands we’ve used and have come to trust. So when you’re browsing the web and you see our Recommended Seal on a beauty site, you know we’ve used their products and read their ingredients list to make sure they are who they say they are. You can trust our seal.
We’re so excited to announce our very first Recommended brand – Gluten Free Beauty. We did a story on Gluten Free Beauty several months ago. And we posted the link on Twitter, as usual. The response was amazing! So many women out there retweeted the link because they didn’t know they could find cosmetics that were gluten free. For some women, this is the difference between wearing makeup and not.
But beyond the health issue, Gluten Free Beauty adds beneficial ingredients that work wonders for all skin types; from skin soothing helichrysum italicum, to vitamin rich pure pearl powder to shea butter and aromatic essential oils. Each product is nourishing and moisturizing. Some have anti-aging benefits. And with a recent reformulation, which removed certain essential oils, the entire line is now safe for expectant mothers.
We’ve cheered as Kristen Campbell, founder of Gluten Free Beauty, has introduced fun new products, revamped her website and ventured into instructional videos. We love her hip style, her intense knowledge of natural ingredients and her passion for creating a great product.
From her cream foundations to her rice based setting powder, we love it all. Her lip colors are rich and deep and last without drying the lips. And her Facial Moisture Serum is a favorite with the HBP team. But we’re not the only ones who love GFB. Natural Solutions Magazine, Actress Denise Richards and lots of beauty blogs are just as excited about this innovative brand as we are.
We can’t wait to see what’s next for Gluten Free Beauty.
Recommended brands do not pay or compensate The Healthy Beauty Project in order to be recommended. There is a submission process that is fee based, as we pay testers and researchers who try the product and research ingredients for safety. Submission does not guarantee the seal. Decisions are based on ingredients, product performance, packaging/website and customer service.
