Benefits of Dry Brushing

My skin is crazy dry. I don’t care what I slather on my legs and arms, an hour later, I’m ashy. At least, that was the story until I began a routine of dry brushing, spritzing with rose water and moisturizing with argan oil. My skin is now as soft as a baby’s and there’s no embarrassing flaking.

Dry brushing, although not a new practice, is a new discovery for me. If you’re asking what’s dry brushing, here’s the quick answer: Using a soft, dry brush on dry skin to brush in circular motions. Why? I’m glad you asked. I was going to write a story on dry brushing, but then I came across an amazing post on the subject on the blog for Blue Morpho Apothecary (one of my fave bath & body lines).

She explains how to choose a good brush, which direction on the body to brush and much more!

Why reinvent the wheel when I can simply direct y’all over there?

But do stop back here in a few days because I will be sharing on my delightful spa day at Eviama Life Spa & Boutique here in Philly. They dry rubbed me, wrapped me in herbs, gave me a facial, rubbed my feet, tucked me in a sauna (with hot herbal tea), and about twenty other things! It was sheer bliss.
